Cold Weather stinks

I'm sitting at home and Buie fell asleep so I have nothing
to do. I'm on spring break too so I'm feeling a little blogging.

I am home because I want to get MOM out of the house because
it'll be a week since her surgery and I think she shouldn't have
a problem and NEEDS to get out. She has made nice bounds from
when she came out of surgery until now though. She better not
be getting surgery anytime soon again though because for me,
spending 14 hours at a hospital without a comfy bed stinks.
The validated parking and the pancakes weren't bad though.
ANYWAY.....what better than the mall and some Olive Garden.
I'm predicting she complains and doesn't want Olive Garden
when it comes time though. I'm really craving some all you
can eat soup salad and breadsticks. Specifically, some Zuppa
Tuscana soup. Highly recommended.

The reason for the mall trip is also because my phone just
FELL APART. I loved that phone until about a month ago when
a couple buttons started acting up and last weekend it was
closed a little violently. and by that I mean I'm sticking up
for the phone because it wasn't violent at all. but all week it
was making a clicking sound until finally a piece came off and
the flip was just hanging there. then last night i dropped it on
CARPET and it just broke in half. It was hardly aided in the process
and I'm steamed about it.

After a little retirement period I'm back to playing baseball.
I walked on to the RMU club baseball team. It's part of the NCBA
at clubbaseball.org. There is pretty much 3 classifications of
college sports. First is the highest degree of the NCAA, then
comes club, the comes intramurals. I had some time due to my
smaller workload this semester, although the classes seem to be
getting really tough, so i decided to give it a try. I havn't
been able to to use aluminum bats for a few years (the league
i played in the past couple years is wooden bat) so I wanted
to jump at the opportunity. Hopefully I can make some updates
on here as the season rolls along. RMU baseball shirts for 10
bucks if anyone wants one!!!!

(three hours of online testing due every week Saturday at midnight)

Intro to Casino Gaming operations
(yes it is as fun as it sounds, we learn how to play and cheat card games alot)
Java Programming
(Probably my favorite class because it is really challenging but has an amazing sense of completion when you actually code a working program)
Management Theory and Practice
(ugh)

Robert Morris Basketball got upset in our conference tournament
on sunday. We were the #1 seed and had we won on sunday, we
would have went to the championship game on Wednesday. Winning
our conference tournament give us an automatic bid to the
NCAA march madness tournament which would have been a huge
deal for RMU. Another interesting fact is that ESPN would have
been at RMU for the championship game because they are telecasting
it and we had home court advantage throughout the tournament.
ANOTHER fact is that I was scheduled to shoot a half court
shot for 2 round trip airline tickets to anywhere that US
airlines flies. I had the option between sunday or Wednesday
and since Wednesday would have been on ESPN, i risked holding
off until then...and of course my luck is unfair to me and we
lost. I estimate that i could make that half court shot 1/5
times which i think were good odds.

I think i should quit because im starting to consistently not capitalize my I's.

I feel I owed my viewer (s) a long post.

Homecoming

Well, Friday started off early. Got up and got spiffed up for that
Sport Management Conference that ended up being pretty helpful. It
lasted about 8 hours butt it wasn't too bad to endure. A professor
from last year that I liked and got to knew was a speaker there and
they have internships at the high school he works at. He is the
Athletic Director at his school and I think im going to pursue the
idea of interning there.

Good News aside from the main topics:
I won the RMU rock paper scissors tournament and was awarded a $25
gift certificate to best buy. My hard work and extensive training
the past 2 weeks paid off. That money will not be used on poorly,
I am putting money down on the new guitar hero for its release.

Anyway, after that long conference i had to get back here at home,
eat, get dressed into some other spiffy clothes, and head back over
to around campus because i escorted a friend of mine for homecoming.
Fridays was the dance portion that went really well, my date didn't
win but I'm almost positive we looked the best.

Saturday was our homecoming game which I also had to escort at, at
halftime. It was about 150 degrees out and i had yet another set of
spiffy clothes on. It wasn't amazingly bad and enduring to be in
those clothes in that kind of heat UNTIL after halftime, I'm not sure
why but thats when it started getting really hot. Anyway once again
we probably looked the best but knew she wasn't the winner, I don't
think she really cared though. Mom and brother stopped by to hang out
at the game and mom made it a point to be THAT photographer mom. yes,
THAT one. haha, actually she wasn't too bad, it just seemed like she
was taking pictures of her son that was running for homecoming queen.
Overall it was nice to have them come up and see our football game
atmosphere which is pretty nice. After that i started to get really
hot and miserable so i went and got some food, watched the penguins
get the first win of the young season (WHICH I'M EXCITED ABOUT). Just
wish i could get some tickets for them.

This was "Oh, there is my mom just look the other way." No, I was not staring at her BREASTS

I went to that career expo and it wasnt bad, but of the 100 different
booths that were there, only 4 or 5 of them pertained to my major so
it wasnt very useful to me. Nevertheless i got some stuff and dished
out my resume to some companies.
I'm trying to focus more on this Sport Management conference that
occurs on October 5th because its all about my major and alot of useful
people will be speaking all day for it. I suppose ill have to bring my A
game for it?

The weekend agenda will consist of Pirate games, an RMU football
game, and stressful NFL sunday rooting for the players on my fantasy
team. I lost this past week to put me at 2-1 so hopefully i can bounce
back with a win. A friend of mine that graduated with my brother who
was in California all summer may visit so that should be fun.

Well i think I'm done being sick. But now I got swamped with work. I'll manage.

I went home to see the mom for her BDay and to visit the dog and make fun of the brother after he got his wisdom teeth out. An overall successful trip.

This week: -I have a meeting with my departments internship director
-The career expo is on Thursday which, this year, im actually
making an attempt to make an impression and get myself out
there. The thing is, my resume is pretty weak since i didn't have
an internship or anything yet.
- Ah that reminds me that i have to turn in a form for a big sport
management conference in october. Being on this thing can be beneficial i guess.
this conference is a pretty big one, Robert Morris brings some pretty big
names to their conferences. this year there are alot of Pirate people, Orlando
Magic people and some main guy from the nations biggest radio station?.
Anyway it is $40 bucks for RMU students and I guess conferences like this
run for hundreds of dollars anywhere else. Time to spiff up and act important0
for a day!.

All for now, got to go to class.

*I live in an apartment with a couple friend in Bellvue which is a little
far off campus than what I'd like. I plan on moving closer next semester.
*Mom made a nice investment and got Buie's teeth cleaned.
*Steeler season starting which means fantasy football is up and running
which was very fun week 1
*I instant messaged our good friend JuJubee and I got a response of "Who is this"
and my screen name basically says my name so I'm feeling pretty crappy about that.

I have no objections to you "bragging" about me to your readers. Maybe

I didnt really do anything for my BDay, family took me out to eat. Fun, but
it has gone downhill since the days I would do something big for my bday.
haha oh well.

I was watching the news and came across this guy that wants to protest
outside of PNC Park on June 30th because he is unhappy with the production
of the team. He is claiming he is trying to send a message to ownership. When
in all actuality, hes going to discourage the players. What i posted on his blog at "http://www.theaveragewhiteguy.com" I explained to him that it is indeed the
leagues fault due to the lack of a hard salary cap. With the current cap, only
teams that are able to throw around money will ever be successful. The pirates
have the 4th lowest payroll in the MLB and if you think about it, the team gets
most of its money from the city (and fans) so he is essentially protesting towards
himself. oh well. THEY ARE DOING BETTER THIS YEAR ANYWAY

I am not sure if i would find the motivation to read much over
the summer. Takes alot for me to be interest in a book.

I can't really sleep so ill write in this thing. My mouth hurts because
i got hit in the mouth with a baseball from a bad bounce, and the big
cut on the inside of my lip turned into the biggest ulser ive ever seen.
IT SUCKS.

Anyway, my usual day lately has been waking up and sometimes going
for a run in the afternoon if i can find the motivation. I usually take Buie
for a half mile until he gets tongue to the ground tired. I THOUGHT he
was in shape. Evenings mom and i have been taking Buie to the dog park
fairly often. We discovered a creek outside the fenced in dog park that
Buie and his friends like to take a dip in.
Today Mom Mark Andy and i went to a pirate game and i got my 2nd foul
ball of the year. Ive been to a load of games before this season and never
got one.!

Other than that I'm not sure what to write. I'm sure ill post back for my
birthday if not sooner. I almost forgot it was coming up. Is that bad for an
almost 20 year old?

This weekend I made a trip to the Cager Classic. Dunno if anyone of you know what that is, but it's an All Star basketball game of like 20 schools that I was in when i was a senior. So that consumed my weekend but i got to see some old faces.

Other than that it wasnt eventful.

If you have any information on penguins tickets. I'm dieing to go to another game but tickets are hard to get now.

The brackets have begun(College Basketball Tourney for YOU PEOPLE),
it took me about 5 hours to do mine. I initially didnt want to do any POOLS
for money..but.. i spent too much time filling it out to NOT do anything with
it. If you have filled any out, let me know what yours looks like. I wont bother
posting about mine if none of you even follow it. Pitt wont rd 1 though.
*Our RMU girls made it to the NCAA tourney as a 13th seed which isnt too
bad for a school like ours. They will be playing this weekend in North Carolina
against NC State.( Yea how nice of them to basically make it a home game for
the other team.)

In other news, something that consumes most of my every day now has an
ASTERIX beside it. My team has won the Intramural championship here at
RMU for the basketball season. Was a good time, reminded me of high school
basketball because we actually drew a crowd and ended up playing a rival
team of ours. We ended up being undefeated and we get some SWEET t-shirts,
lol.

Since my last post...Nothing really has happened to be real honest.
Which is why i was dead for a while. My day is as follows:
-WAKE UP
-Shower
-Class
-Work....Night class at 6 on Tues/Wed
-Food
-Sleep

I guess i could have bored you with my whining about how sick i was for 2 weeks
I also had a very bad experience at the dentist just because i HATE
the dentist. Since my little accident i just hate people touching my teeth.
Unfortunately they told me i have my first ever cavity...along with a few
other small ones that i might as well get taken care of. AND..2 years later
after my "accident"....my tooth is FINALLY dieing and starting to change
color after the nerve damage. Its starting to get pretty noticable so he says
a crown will take care of it.

ANYWAY...tonight was the first action ive gotten in a while. I went to the
GEORGE STRAIT concert at the Mellon Arena. With him was Ronnie Milsap
and Taylor Swift. I hope you all know who that is. Taylor Swift is that new
17 year old chick who sings "Tim Mcgraw." Our seats were very good, my
friend Rachel's brother works with y108 and WOOKIE is his roomate, so
he got us tickets. The juicy part of this story is that not only was the concert
very very good, but i was able to get a picture with and an autograph from
the young, attractive, and surprisingly tall...Taylor Swift. She was very
very polite, and was amazing for the interaction between herself and her
fans. I will give it a year before that attribute wears off, unfortunately.
Nevertheless, I am not a fan of female country singers but she became
an exception.

Weekk 1 of classes was interesting. My classes are as follows

Business Professional Communications -MWF 2-3pm
Marketing -MWF 3-4pm
Program Planning -Tues,Thurs 1230-145pm
Ethics - Tuesday 6-9 pm
MicroEconomics Wednesday 6-9pm

Business Comm is going to be a really crappy class, we have an
evil professor to go along with it.

The rest of them should not give me a huge probelm but its early
in the semester and I'm not really sure.

The brother has been in the hospital for seems like ages. Supposedly
he is to be released this weekend.

Thats about it for now.

Hi Fans, I'm Alive

Ok...My Christmas Break.

As soon as we hit vaca, i went to Philadelphia with a friend of
mine to visit. My ultimate goal was fulfilled when i consumed a
couple original cheesesteaks from the famous "Pat's"....Luckily
i had a friend from philly with me when i ordered or I would have
been shooed away from the cook. They dont mess around there, if
you wait more than 3 seconds at the window they will make you leave.
So i went ahead with my order..."Whiz without please." Whiz for
cheese and without notifies them that you dont want peppers or onions
....hmmm, so after the 1st one i of course went for another. But
that alone made my trip.

After that I started the SIT AROUND AND DO PRETTY MUCH NOTHING for
3 weeks. That went well. Hung out with old friends and tried to
stay out of trouble.

Christmas went well. Had a nice crowd at Grams which is always a
recipe for a good time.

So now im back at school and ill probably be posting more often.
As for those 5 questions.
1.Red orange/Burnt Orange/Macaroni and Cheese/razzmatazz. (was lookin for some interesting ones :-P)

2. Pet Peeve= drying off with a wet towel.

Finals/Break

Got through finals easily i guess. Now im off for like 3 weeks.
Dunno what ill do with myself in that time but im sure it will
be boring and useless.

Nothing noatable to post in recent weeks so i havnt exactly
been active on here. But yes, i AM still alive. Um...How about
someone give me somethin interesting to do.

Almost done for the semester, the worst is out of the way...
and i only had to pull 1 all nighter. WOO!

P.s. i have devloped and unhealthy addiction to Chic fil a lately
so hopefully no cloggings are going on in the ole system.

Crunch Time

Ok, I chose to do nothing over break, which includes posting on
this. But I am not back at school and its a week till finals. It
shouldnt be tough but i do have alot of things due in the upcomming
week that i am not looking forward to.

Anyway, Since my last post which was a lil ways back.....

Steeler Game was fantastic, they beat the saints and Willie has over
200 yards rushing, but since that game we have been basically
eliminated from the playoffs...Boo

Thanksgiving break was very relaxing, all i did was eat...Spoil
Buie (Under the table scraps, freeze pops, and letting him sleep
on the bed against the mothers word)...and watch sports. Went to
the Pitt Vs Louisville game on saturday...Pitt got dominated but
i like Louisville and the seats were very good so im satisfied.

Gotta go to my "job" .....PEACE

The week was pretty monotonous, Class-Work-Sleep...repeat.....
Although Wed. i got a call from good ole Uncle Bill asking if i
was free for the evening. Him and i went down to Mellon Arena
and watched the Penguins lose in overtime. It was a fantastic
game and it's so different from last year because they have some
explosive offense and are actually doing quite well this season.
I'm glad they are doing well, it's taking some of the negative
energy away from the Steelers. But anyway, havnt seen Willard for
a while and we had a good time.

A little stressed here because i have to schedule classes on
monday and the classes i want/need to take are filling up quickly
and it seems like im not going to get the ideal schedule that i
wanted so bad, which will make my semester a lot harder than it
needs to be. But what im planning on taking is the following:

COSK2230 Business Professional Communication
ECON1030 MicroEconomics (i just took macro and it wasnt bad
so im hoping the MICRO part of it will be ok)
ACCT2060 Managerial Accounting
MGMT3100 Management Theory and Practice

Im planning on taking 5 of those 6, because I don't want the
18 cred semester again quite yet.

Weekend n'at

Friday was relax day for myself and Ronnie (dunno if you all know him). We sat around and did less than nothing. But i needed the relaxing day because Thurs and Fri beat the heck out of me with tests. But saturday i went to the football game up here and then headed to St Vincents to my brothers place because i had nothing better to do (not realizing it as an hour drive). Finally, Sunday we all went to Mom's house for some food and football and to reunite the homosexual dogs we have. Mom has pics i believe.

Pretty relaxing weekend, this week should'nt be as bad, and Thanksgiving is approaching which just so happens to be my favorite holiday.

Yup, boring post but i got nothing better at the moment.

As far as the translation. OK, so i decided there is too much to go along with this blogging, so untill i get comfortable with it, my site will be nice and lame. Is there an easy way to put others blogs at the side of my blog (I.E. JuJu's site) to symobolize that I'm cool and i actually do have friends in the blogging world.

ANYWAY, I took the weekend easy because it was Halloween Weekend and i already had my fun, enough for a couple weekends, so i sat aroud and watched the Steelers hopes of a repeat slip away (IN MIDSEASON)....how depressing. Buie's father is in France, its gotta be a better experience than China, so im still waiting on words of his travel from MOM.

Next weekend I may go visit Molson and the brother if i get bored. RMU dies during the weekend sometimes. Speaking of school, i did end up with like a 3.3 for midterms which is pretty good considering im taking Stats Calc and Accounting (Math is my worst subject) not to mention my 18 credit semester.

Thanksgiving is approaching (my favorite Holiday) ... I think it would be awesome if we got the entire family together and had a big day. I know its hard but we all know it would be fun. I dont know everyones contacts so im useless in this process.

Halloween Come Early

Had a fantastic weekend. Friday a few of us ate at the waterfront and then I attended Fright Nights at Kennywood. It wasn't as lame as i thought it would be. I'm sure it depends on who you are with there because sometimes you just gotta make your own fun. Saturday Lexa and myself made a 5 hour shopping trip because her costume didnt come in on time for the party that night. Finally she concluded on a fairly revealing costume. I can't say i dont regret paying nearly 80 bucks for everything involved in my costume but i was very pleased with it and my date didnt go cheaply either so not only were we best dressed...but most expensively dressed. Nevertheless mom took a few pics so ill see if i can put em up here.

I created this darn blog thing mainly to stay in contact with family because occasionally I jump on one of mom's bookmarks and see how all of you are doing....and it interests me so I came up with the crazy idea that maybe YINZ would enjoy some of my events, after all...who knows me will know that dull moments are few and far between with me. YA'LL gotta help me out though and teach me how to not be boring and show me the ropes.
